MARGARET MARY EVEN

Margaret Mary Even, 91, of Westphalia, died Monday, September 14, 2009, at St. Mary’s Health Center. She was born on November 13, 1917, in Freeburg, the daughter of Joseph Christ and Catherine Theresa Kloeppel Wilde. She was united in marriage on October 12, 1940, in St. Louis, to Henry Aloys Even. He preceded her in death on February 17, 1990. A homemaker all her life, she worked for several dress stores in Jefferson City including Jack & Jill’s and Millsap’s. While living in St. Louis, Margaret worked as a nurse’s aide. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, and Ladies Sodality. Margaret enjoyed oil painting, gardening, canning, baking goods, and traveling. Survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Drew Henrickson, Jefferson City; two sons, Kenneth Even, San Diego, CA; Roger Even and special friend, Sherry Wittrock, Jefferson City; nine grandchildren, Matthew and his wife Megha Even, Katie Even (special friend Josh Schwartz), Jonathan Even (special friend Lindsey Salmons), Alex Even, Anne Even, Torie Even, Jeff Even, Rick Even, Greg Even; seven great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Lauren McClenathan, Jefferson City; and one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Sophia Wilde, Koeltztown. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; an infant son, David Even; three sisters, Leona Dee, Theola Noblett, Eleanor Wilde; and one brother, Alphonse Wilde. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, September 17, 2009, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with the Rev. I. C. Medina, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic Church, P.O.
