MARGARET ELIZABETH TOEBBEN

Margaret Elizabeth Toebben, 83, of St. Martins, died Saturday, January 3, 2009, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born on Nov. 12, 1925, in Rich Fountain, the daughter of Francis H. Frank and Mary Anna Nilges Bock. She was united in marriage on July 20, 1948, in Rich Fountain, to Raymond Bernard Toebben who survives at the home. A homemaker all her life, she had been employed with Obermans Clothing Factory. Margaret was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church. She greatly enjoyed quilting, sewing, and gardening. Other survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Ron Eggen, Lohman; Joyce and Danny Patterson, St. Martins; Elaine and Gerald Thomas, Jefferson City; four sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Diane Toebben; Leon and Cheryl Toebben, all of Jefferson City; Ron and Vicky Toebben, Centertown; Dennis and Tonya Toebben, Taos; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Dorothy Morgan; and Hilda and Harry Bemboom, all of Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Rita Hodge and Alma Kliethermes; two brothers, Clemmons and Joseph Bock; and a grandson, Jason Toebben. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12 Noon Wednesday, January 7, 2009, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A Schmidt, officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Martin Catholic Church Building Fund, 7148 St. Martins Ave., Jefferson City, MO 65109; American Diabetes Association, 1944-A East Sunshine, Springfield, MO 65804; or to a charity of the donors choice.
