Linda Elaine Thomas

Linda Elaine Butler Thomas, 70, of Jefferson City, died Friday, August 14, 2015, at her residence. She was born June 14, 1945, in Jefferson City, the daughter of the late Paul Robert and Nola Viola Zeilman Butler. She was married on October 8, 1961, in Jefferson City to James Delbert Thomas who preceded her in death on July 5, 2013. A 1963 graduate of Jefferson City High School, Mrs. Thomas retired in 2000 as a Line Attendant with Unilever where she had been employed for twenty-nine years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church and Clarke Senior Center. Survivors include two daughters, Melinda (Jim) Matteson and Reba Hodge, both of Jefferson City; two grandsons, Danny Matteson, Columbia, and Tommy Matteson, Jefferson City; and her beloved dog, Susie. She was preceded in death by one brother, Larry P. Butler. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 20, 2015, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
