Leona Margaret Eichholz

Leona Margaret Eichholz, 81, of Westphalia, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017, at Westphalia Hills. She was born December 1, 1935, in Mary's Home, Missouri, the daughter of the late Tony and Helen (Sandbothe) Lepper. She was united in marriage on September 11, 1954, in Mary's Home to Charles Chris Eichholz. After a brief work history at several factories, she stayed home to raise her children. She babysat for numerous years for a large number of children. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia, Friendship Club, and Scrabble Club. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, playing cards, dancing, and especially her time with her family and friends. In addition to her husband of 62 years, Charles Eichholz, Westphalia; she is survived by six children, Diane (Jerry) Jaegers, Loose Creek; Brenda (Rodney) Thompson, Bland; Lisa (Brian) Wiler, New Bloomfield; Michael (Brenda) Eichholz, Loose Creek; Dennis (Patricia) Eichholz, Holts Summit; Charlotte (Lindy) Grothoff, Loose Creek; 15 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter; a son, Kenneth Eichholz; one sister, Veronica Kempker; and four brothers, Vic, Fred, Clarence, and Albert Lepper. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2017, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Westphalia with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with the Rev.
