LOUISE CHRISTINE McDONALD

Louise Christine McDonald, 74, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at Villa Marie Skilled Care. She was born on September 22, 1929 in Vienna, MO, the daughter of Leo Ildephonse and Teresa Christine Bauer Renkemeyer. She was married on April 29, 1950 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Jefferson City to N.A. Bud McDonald who survives at the home. They recently celebrated their fifty-fourth wedding anniversary. Other survivors include three sons and their wives, Dwight G. McDonald, Jefferson City; Kurt and Jerry McDonald, Hollister, MO; and Hans and Beverly McDonald, Pretty Prairie, KS; five daughters and their husbands, Kris and Tim Ballage, Jefferson City; Regina and Ross Summers, Huntsville, MO; Denise and Mike Grefrath, Jefferson City; Liz and Richard Fadel, Spartanburg, SC; and Liesel U. Farris, Jefferson City; twenty-one grandchildren; one great-grandson; one brother and his wife, Roman and June Renkemeyer, Jefferson City; four sisters and their husbands, Virginia and Tony Cerreto, North Attleboro, MA; Alma and Ed Sandbothe, Taos; Mary Jane Temmen, Taos; and Theresa and Herb Verslues, Taos; and a brother-in-law, Buck Russler, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Angela Rose Russler. Roman Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2004, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald W. Lammers, the Rev. Clarence Wheeler, and the Rev. Gregory L. Higley officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday, May 21, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Drive, Jefferson City, with the Rosary recited at 8 p.m. Mrs. McDonald will lie in state Friday night at the Carmelite Monastery where prayers will be recited Saturday morning at 9:15 a.m. Memorials are suggested to the Carmelite Monastery, 2201 W. Main St., Jefferson City; MO 65109; or St. Peter Catholic Church, 216 Broadway, Jefferson City, MO 65101. A homemaker and farmwife, Mrs. McDonald was employed in earlier years with Tweedie Shoe Company and later at St. Marys Hospital. Her greatest joys throughout her life, however, were her husband, family, and the Catholic faith. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church; Ladies Sodality; fifty year member of the Daughters of Isabella; St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary and Auxiliary Board; Guadelupe Circle; Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Circle; and was a devoted patroness of the Carmelite Monastery. She was recently recognized for having contributed more than one thousand hours of volunteer service to St. Marys Health Center.
