LORETTA MARIE MILLER

March 16, 1916 — February 14, 2005

Loretta Marie Miller, 88, formerly of Denver, Colo., died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on March 16, 1916 in Gunnison, Colo., the daughter of Joseph Judson and Florence Edna Zoellner Miller. She was a 1934 graduate of Gunnison High School; received a Bachelor of Arts in Education degree in 1938 and a Master of Arts in Education degree in 1950 both from Western State College in Gunnison. Miss Millers teaching career in Colorado began in Fruita and continued in Montrose and Pueblo before she joined the Denver Public Schools. She taught business education at East High School before becoming Coordinator of Work/Study programs for the Denver schools, a position she held until her retirement in 1980. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Denver. She is survived by one sister, Genevieve E. OHalloran, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Tevis Miller. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2005, at the Carmelite Monastery with the Rev. Daniel I.J. Lueckenotte officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Carmelite Monastery, 2210 W. Main St., Jefferson City, MO 65109.
