LORETTA MARIE BECKER

September 14, 1919 — July 15, 2004

Loretta Marie Becker, 84, formerly of Springfield, died Thursday, July 15, 2004, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on September 14, 1919, in Westphalia, the daughter of Bernard Herman and Mary Schulte Rehagen. She was married on January 17, 1942 in Jefferson City to Oscar Becker who died on August 14, 1998 after fifty-six wonderful years together. She is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Agathon H. Tony and Bernadine Rehagen, Westphalia; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry Rehagen and Clem Rehagen. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2004, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with the Rev. Philip M. Kane officiating. Burial will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens, Jefferson City. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, POB 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-1653. A resident of Springfield for more than sixty years, Mrs. Becker retired on March 1, 1985, as Administrative Assistant of the Missouri Division of Workers Compensation in Springfield where she had been employed for forty-two years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Springfield; and together with her husband spent many years as a postcard distributor in southwest Missouri.
