LORAINE KATHRYN COFFELT

Loraine Kathryn Coffelt, 78, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, September 09, 2008, at her home. She was born on November 9, 1929, in St. Louis, the daughter of John Edward and Margaret Agnes Judy Krampf. She was united in marriage on June 3, 1961, in Ballwin, MO to Fowler Delbert Coffelt. He preceded her in death on September 10, 1987. She was a veteran of the Womens Army Corp WAC as a teletype operator during 1957-1961. Loraine worked for the St. Louis Globe Democrat, Rockwood School District as a bus driver, United Telephone of Florida, and Cheseboro Ponds as a quality control inspector where she was known as Shorty. She was a member of Salem Methodist Church in Ballwin, MO, and Order of Eastern Star 496. Survivors include: one daughter, Becca Coffelt, Jefferson City; one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Linda Coffelt, Brazito; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Shirley Krampf, Memphis, TN; and a sister-in-law, Mary Alice Krampf, Chesterfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Bernice Segal; Dorothy Lever; Margaret Kretchmar; and one brother, Emil Krampf. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2008, at Capital West Christian Church with the Rev. Ken Harland officiating. Burial with full military honors will be in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12 Noon until 2 p.m. Thursday at the church. Memorials are suggested to Capital West Christian Church, 1308 Fairgrounds Road, Jefferson City, Mo 65109.
