LEWAYNE LEONARD HECKMAN

Lewayne Leonard Lew Heckman, 54, of Delafield, Wis., formerly of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009.
He was born on November 27, 1954, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Leonard William and Sarah Ann Veltrop Heckman. Lewayne was a 1973 graduate of Helias High School and a 1977 graduate of the University of Notre Dame. Lewayne was President of Custom Apparel, a multiline promotional products company in Wisconsin for the last twelve years. He had previously worked for Boston Store in Milwaukee as a retailer/buyer and for Carlson Promotional Group as a merchandiser manager. He was a member of Promotional Products Association of Wisconsin serving as past president, Waukesha Metropolitan Builders Association, and a council member of Crown Products in Alabama. Lewayne was an avid sports fan, camper, reader, and cook. He enjoyed snow skiing, scuba diving, and sailing. Lewayne was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend who lived life to the fullest. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include: four sisters, Mary Kay (Jim) Tambke, Jefferson City; Karen (Bill) Dent, Holts Summit; Gail (Sheldon) Lineback, Jefferson City; Gina (Robert) Stuenkel, Marys Home; thirteen nieces and nephews, Eric Denny, Kurt Denny, Christen Denny, Brandon (Jessica) Stuenkel, Ryan Stuenkel, Abby Stuenkel, Marissa Stuenkel, Lydia Stuenkel, Jessica Lineback, Luke Lineback, Janice (Chris Leroux) Wendel, Sheila (Nick) Niekamp, Kelley (Ryan) Buschjost; six great-nieces and six great-nephews. Lewayne is also survived by his extended family in Wisconsin, Pete, Nancy, Peter(PJ), Joey, and Claire Feichtmeier.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki as Celebrant and the Rev. Msgr. Donald W. Lammers as Concelebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6 p.m. A memorial service will be held in Wisconsin at a later date.
