LEONA LOUISA ADAMSKI

August 7, 1914 — February 20, 2008

Leona Louisa Adamski, 93, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at Oak Tree Villas. She was born on August 7, 1914, in Loose Creek, the daughter of Jacob N. and Anna S. Grefrath Kliethermes. She was united in marriage on May 29, 1946, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Walter Stanley Adamski who preceded her in death on December 26, 1982. Mrs. Adamski had been employed as a seamstress with Florsheim Shoe Company. Leona lived in Milwaukee during her married life and later returned to her roots in Missouri in her retirement. Leona was a devout Catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. She was an avid bowler and a world traveler. Survivors include: two sisters-in-law, Frances Kliethermes; and Delores Kliethermes; numerous nieces and nephews and extended families. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters, Rose Knaebel; Sophie Wolken; Alvina Fineo; and eight brothers, Hugo, Lee, Arthur, Clarence, Linus, Ralph, Edmund, and Hubert Kliethermes. Private family services will be held at a later date. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
