Lawrence Hubert Douglas, 70, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at Oakview Living Center. He was born on May 22, 1933 in Wichita, KS, the son of Perry Vincent and Julia Frances Neely Douglas. Survivors include three sons, Michael L. Douglas and Melvin V. Douglas, both of Jefferson City; and Marc K. Douglas, Inglewood, CA; three daughters, Michele R. Douglas-Raimey, Inglewood, CA; Marcia Y. Douglas, Jefferson City; and Marva Y. Douglas-Love, Phoenix, AZ; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Perry V. Douglas, Bowling Green, MO. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28, 2004, at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Harvel Sanders officiating. Visitation will be noon to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Grace Episcopal Church, 217 Adams Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
