LAWRENCE HENRY WIEBERG

Lawrence Henry Wieberg, 79, of Westphalia, Mo., died Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born on Dec. 5, 1930, in Argyle, Mo., the son of the late Adam Frank and Myrtle Helen Replogle Wieberg. He was married on Oct. 10, 1951, in Westphalia to Marcella Hildegard Huhn who survives at the home. Mr. Wieberg was employed with St. Marys Hospital as an orderly from 1945 to 1952; N.O. Nelson Co. as a salesman from 1952 to 1979; and St. Marys Hospital in the maintenance department from 1979 to 1992. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia; Mens Sodality; Past President of the Westphalia Lions Club; honorary member of Westphalia Knights of Columbus Council 1171; and was active in many community events over the years. Larry coached softball and showed horses with his daughters. He enjoyed farm activities, hunting, fishing, gardening, the St. Louis Cardinals, and time with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Other survivors include three daughters, Delores (Jerry) Sinquefield, Columbia, Mo.; Karen (Phil) Wulff, Columbia, Mo.; and Judy Wieberg, Reno, Nev.; four grandchildren, Aaron Schwartze, Rachel Kangas, Audrey Burns, and Nathan Schwartze; six great-grandchildren, Nathan Michael Schwartze, Emma Schwartze, Viivi Kangas, Minna Kangas, Ivan Burns, and Felix Burns; and six brothers, Albert (Rosalia) Wieberg, Westphalia; Adam (Kay) Wieberg, Vienna, Mo.; Joe (Viola) Wieberg, Freeburg, Mo.; John Wieberg, Holts Summit, Mo.; Virgil (Judy) Marys Home, Mo.; and Bill (Vicky) Wieberg, Holts Summit, Mo. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Veit and Mary Ann Laughlin; and one brother-in-law, Roderick Veit.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia, with the Rev. Philip E. Niekamp officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Westphalia. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9th, at St. Joseph Catholic Church with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donors choice.
