LAURINE MARGARET THOMPSON

Laurine Margaret Thompson, 86, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born on Aug. 20, 1921, in Westphalia, Mo., the daughter of Theodore and Elizabeth Mengwasser Luecke. She was married on April 15, 1944, in St. Louis to John Harding Thompson who died on April 13, 1999. Mrs. Thompson was employed for ten years with the former Chesebrough-Ponds Company in Jefferson City. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality. Survivors include three daughters and one son-in-law, Elizabeth Kaiser, Jefferson City; Carole Frank, St. Louis; and Patricia and Gerald Parish, Jefferson City; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Robert and Deborah Thompson, Jefferson City; and Larry and Judith Thompson, Russellville, Mo.; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Evelyn Neuner, Linn, Mo. She was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Ryan Thompson; two sisters, Annie Crede and Catherine Meyer; and one brother, Alvin Luecke. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2008, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Donardo S. Bermejo officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
