LARRY RAY SNELLEN

April 7, 1946 — April 30, 2005

Larry Ray Snellen, 59, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, April 30, 2005, at Callaway Community Hospital in Fulton. He was born on April 7, 1946 in Jefferson City, the son of Carl Otis and Grace Pauline Tripp Snellen. He was married on May 15, 1965 in Jefferson City to Patricia Ilene Barrett who survives at the home. A 1964 graduate of Jefferson City High School, Mr. Snellen was employed with Capital Supply Company for twenty-six years, and was currently Branch Manager of Capital City Tallman Company were he had been employed for the past twelve years. He was a member of the Sportmans Club and an avid golfer, but above all, he loved his children and grandchildren. His family meant everything to him and he loved his many friends He was a man of strong Christian faith which he instilled in his children. Other survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jason and Tara Snellen, Jefferson City; and Troy Snellen, Columbia; two daughters and their husbands, Christine and David Sublette, Jefferson City; and Laura Snellen-Crocker and David, Jefferson City; five grandchildren, Shayna Snellen-Hackman, Blake Snellen, Jake Snellen, Autumn Sublette, and Alayna Sublette; three brothers and their wives, David and Nancy Snellen, California, MO; Paul and Joyce Snellen, Jefferson City; and Ralph and Mary Snellen, Taos; one sister, Helen Jane Yates, Orville, California; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two infant sisters. Private family services will be held at a later date. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
