LARRY LEE RACKERS

August 20, 1958 — February 21, 2012

Larry Lee Rackers, Sr., 53, of Bonnots Mill, died Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at St. Marys Health Center.
He was born August 20, 1958, in Jefferson City, the son of Norman Lee and Hilda Marie Rademann Rackers. His mother survives in Wardsville.
He was a 1976 graduate of Blair Oaks High School.
Larry was united in marriage in 1987, to Linda Gayle Grover who preceded him in death on December 22, 2009.
Larry owned and operated service stations in Jefferson City and Apache Flats, worked for the Missouri State Penitentiary, and most recently worked at Unilever Inc. in Jefferson City.
Larry enjoyed fishing, rabbit hunting, pitching horseshoes, and umpiring baseball games. He loved to be with his family and friends and help anyone who was in need.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by: his son, Larry Rackers, Jr., Jefferson City; three siblings, Jerry Chuck (Carol) Rackers, Jefferson City; Lori (Scott) Lawson, Jefferson City; Tina (Steven) Coffelt, Kansas City; and seven nieces and nephews, Brad Rackers, Brent Rackers, Michael Lawson, Matthew Lawson, Nathan Lawson, Daniel Coffelt and Samantha Coffelt.
He was preceded in death by his father; his wife; and a niece, Katy Marie Lawson.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Dulle- Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4:30 p.m.
