Kenneth Emmanuel Scott, 70, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 7, 1938, in Jefferson City, the son of Virgil Burnette and Marcella Marie Schnieders Scott. He was a 1956 graduate of St. Peter High School. He was united in marriage in 1980, in Jefferson City to Ruth Marie Duvall, who survives at the home. Mr. Scott worked for the Missouri State Highway and Transportation Dept. in the surveying dept. for forty-three years retiring in May of 2000. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He greatly enjoyed bowling, playing horse shoes, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Other survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Daniel and Vickie Scott, Jefferson City; Dennis and MaryJo Scott, Rocky Mount, Mo; Donald and Madonna Scott, Wellsville, Mo; four step children and their spouses, Diane and Doug Dulle, Bentonville, Ark.; Barb and Steve Shimmens, Jefferson City; Steve Schwartze, Jefferson City; Brenda and Kevin Petty, Hartsburg; one grandson; eight step grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn Butler and John Gale, Jefferson City; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, David and Vickey Scott, Jefferson City; Richard and Sheila Scott, Jefferson City; and Shirley Scott; Mountain View, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents; an older brother, Don Scott; and a step grandson, James Turner. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 13, 2009, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Msgr. Donald W. Lammers, officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Special Learning Center, 1115 Fairgrounds Road, Jefferson City, Mo 65109; or to St. Peter Catholic Church, 216 Broadway Street, Jefferson City, Mo 65101.
