KATHLEEN MARIE RACKERS

Kathleen Marie Rackers, 81, of Osage Bend, MO, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born on March 10, 1926, in Kansas, OK, the daughter of George and Helener Phillips Duncan. She was married on Dec. 31, 1945, in Lometa, CA, to Wilbert Benard Rackers who survives at the home. A homemaker, Mrs. Rackers was employed during World War II at Columbia Steel Company in Torrance, CA. She was a member of St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church, Osage Bend, where she assisted with weddings and funerals and was a member of the quilting group. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, rose gardening, cooking, and most, of all, her family. Other survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Sue and Robert Klepak, Conyers, GA; and Gail Ann and Dennis Sandbothe, Taos, MO; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary Dan and Mary Rackers, Jefferson City; eight grandchildren, Scott Bernskoetter, Sarah Chapman, Russell Bernskoetter, Troy Sandbothe, Denise Sandbothe, Shane Sandbothe, Cole Rackers, and Caitlin Rackers; and three great-grandchildren, Halen Chapman, Ava Chapman, and Abigail Bernskoetter. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Donald Duncan; and one sister, Susie Freeman. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2007, at St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church, Osage Bend, with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Burial will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Osage Bend. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, March 23rd, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Mr. Robert S. Smerek. Memorials are suggested to St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church, 12025 Route W, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or Masses.
