Judy Charlene Johnson, 67, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 25, 1946, in California, Missouri, the daughter of the late Carl Henry and Helen Louise (Lehn) Petree. She was a 1965 graduate of Tipton High School. She was united in marriage on June 3, 1966, in Tipton, Missouri to Billy Ray Johnson who preceded her in death on September 11, 2009. Judy worked for the Missouri Department of Revenue and the Department of Employment Security as a key punch operator and with benefits claims for 35 years. She was a member of St. Martin Catholic Church. Judy enjoyed quilting, photography, making and decorating cakes, and especially loved being with her grandchildren. Survivors include three daughters, Kristy Johnson; Kellyn (William) Ayer; Katie (Brice) Bernskoetter, all of Jefferson City; nine grandchildren, Claire Dildy, Gracie Bernskoetter, Caleb Dildy, Aubrie Bernskoetter, Wyatt Ayer, Kambrie Benton, Gwyndolyn Ayer, Callie Lou Bernskoetter, Billie Rae Ayer; 13 siblings, Larry (Carlene) Petree, Tipton; Dave Petree, Otterville; Bill (Elaine) Petree, Tipton; Daryl (Harriet) Petree, Syracuse; Donna (Charlie) Raymond, Tipton; Ruth Anne (Wally) Self, Tipton; Ronnie (Wendy) Petree, Clarksburg; Kenny (Pattie) Petree, Bunceton; Randy (Jenny) Petree, Tipton; Rose (Glenn) Homan, Otterville; Jan (Lenny) Benny, Otterville; Rita (Delbie) Fry, Otterville; Carla (Wayne) Homan, Florence; and three sisters-in-law, Carol (Roger) Hunt, Arkansas; Connie Shehorn, Warsaw; and Janan Johnson, California. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother-in-law, Danny Johnson. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2014, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, September 15, 2014, at St. Martin Catholic Church with the Rev. Edwin A. Schmidt officiating. Burial will be in St. Martin Catholic Cemetery.
