Juanita "Nita" Ann Arnold, 81, of Jefferson City, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, January 27, 2014, at Capital Region Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on September 4, 1932, in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Thomas Galena and Dorothy Alice (Black) Ludwick. Nita was a 1950 graduate of Roosevelt High School, 1954 graduate of Deaconess Hospital School of X-Ray, 1970 graduate of Jefferson City LPN School, and was a 1978 graduate of Lincoln University RN School. She was united in marriage on September 18, 1954, in High Ridge, Missouri, to Orville Henry Arnold, Jr. who preceded her in death on February 2, 2008. Nita worked for Dr. John Sennott, Memorial Hospital, St. Mary's Health Center, and Lake Ozark Regional Hospital as a nurse. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church in Jefferson City and volunteered with the church's library. Nita enjoyed crocheting, reading, and especially loved all her grandchildren. Survivors include: four children, Mark (Jackie) Arnold, Johnson City, TN; Teresa Woolridge, Jefferson City; Susan (Gene) Patterson, Jefferson City; Cindy (John) Wolken, Jefferson City; eight grandchildren, Emma Wolken, Jacob Wolken, Olivia Wolken, Shelby Patterson, Kelsey Patterson, Lory Arnold, Shaun Arnold, and Lisa Kampeter; three great-grandchildren; and her loving cats, Lily and Belle. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a grandson, Allen Arnold; and by two sisters, Rosemary Ludwick and Letia (Orville) Shelton. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Concord Baptist Church with Dr. Monte Shinkle officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be Noon till 1p.m. Thursday at Concord Baptist Church.
