Joseph Henry Bisges

September 12, 1914 — February 25, 2003

He was born in Osage Bend to Henry and Mary Bertha Wankum Bisges. He was married on October 29, 1938 in Osage Bend to Ludvina Alma Bode who survives at the home. Other survivors include three sons, Gilbert J. Bisges, Jefferson City; Dennis F. Bisges, Kansas City; and Eugene H. Bisges, Osage Bend; three daughters, Ruth C. Rosebrough, Berniece M. Bisges, and Phyllis A. Heckemeyer, all of Jefferson City; 22 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; one brother, George Bisges, Taos; and two sisters, Rosie Lueckenotte, Jefferson City; and Alice Bungart, Mt. Pleasant. He was preceded in death by an infant great-granddaughter. He farmed all his life in the Osage Bend area. He was a member of St. Margaret of Antioch Catholic Church, Osage Bend; Holy Name Society; and served on many building and picnic committees. Memorials are suggested to St. Margaret of Antioch Cemetery Fund, 12025 Route W, Jefferson City, MO 65101; or Samaritan Center, 1310 E. McCarty Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
