Jeffrey Francis Devereaux

Jeffrey Francis Devereaux, 62, of Jefferson City, Missouri passed away November 5, 2016 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He was born May 24, 1954 in San Francisco, California, to the union of Pearsey Devereaux and Charlene Devereaux, both of whom are deceased. Jeffrey attended Lincoln University and was a member of Grace Episcopal Church. His marriage to Veronica Devereaux produced two children: Anthony Devereaux and Jason Devereaux. He later married Denise Devereaux. To that union one son was born, Justin Devereaux. Jeffrey spent most of his life in the entertainment arena as a very popular disc jockey, musician and choreographer. He began his radio career at KLUM,(presently KJLU). He continued with the radio station at Y107 in Jefferson City, as a host better known as "The Freshman". He eventually worked at radio stations in San Angelo, Texas and later in Bellevue, Nebraska, at Sweet 98. His last job was for "Google" in the Security Division. Jeffrey was known for his exquisite holiday decorations (interior/exterior). He also enjoyed entertaining weddings and other popular events. Survivors include: Anthony Devereaux (Fiance Alissa Conte), Long Island City, NY; Jason Devereaux, Jefferson City, MO.; Justin Devereaux, Corona, CA. His stepfather Robert Mitchell, Jefferson City, MO; and his aunt Anniebelle Devereaux Smith of Elk City, OK; and many other relatives. Visitation will be held at 12 noon followed by the funeral at 1 p.m. on November 12, 2016, at Grace Episcopal Church, 217 Adams St., Jefferson City, MO. Burial will be at Longview Cemetery.
