Jackson Wilbur Stump

September 15, 1916 — June 1, 2003

He was born in Prosperity, MO to Charles and Carrie Hastings Stump. He was married on December 25, 1936 in Vancouver, Washington to Ruth Viola Brandaberry who survives at the home. Other survivors include three sons and their wives, Charles And Alice Stump, Albuquerque, NM; Richard and Linda Stump, Meta; and David and Mary Stump, Iberia; two daughters and their husbands, Judith and John Whitaker, Bishop, CA; and Martha and Robert Kruchten, New Baden, IL; fifteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Stump; an infant son; a brother, Phillip Stump and a sister, Glenna Ott. He was a member of Brays Advent Christian Church, Iberia; Fraternal and Protective Order of Elks; and an honorary member of the Society of Professional Engineers. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice. He was a general contractor and heavy construction builder throughout the United States, Alaska, and Vietnam for many years.
