Julius Peter Pete Ochs, 86, of Jefferson City, died Friday, March 26, 2010, at Oak Tree Villa.
He was born on October 13, 1923, in Leavenworth, Kansas, the son of the late Julius Peter and Vesta Kimball Ochs, Sr. He was united in marriage to Catherine Behrle in Leavenworth, Kansas. She preceded him in death April of 1977. Pete worked as a supervisor with Phillips Petroleum Pipeline in Jefferson City for 37 years retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph and the American Legion. His favorite hobby included anything with electronics.
Survivors include one sister, Harriet Ochs, Jefferson City; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Louise and William McGlinn, South Bend, Ind., and Mary Margaret Christin, Pebble Beach, Ca.; one cousin, Rita Hummel, Prairie Village, Ks.; one niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 31, 2010, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Gregory C. Meystrik officiating. Entombment with military honors will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
