Joseph Leo Wieberg, 68, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, October 23, 2011, at Adams Street Place.
He was born on August 14, 1943, in Miller County, the son of the late Leo Wieberg and Marie Buechter Wieberg. His mother survives in St. Anthony, Mo.
He was united in marriage on September 17, 1966, in Marys Home, Mo., to Angie Victoria Bungart who survives at the home.
A 1961 graduate of St. Elizabeth High School, Mr. Wieberg was a union plumber from 1966-2001 and was employed over the years with McGraw Edison; Bauer Plumbing; A-1 Plumbing, Harold Butzer, Missouri Office of Administration, and Jefferson City Parks and Recreation. He owned and operated Wieberg Plumbing Company from 1988-2001.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam Era.
Mr. Wieberg was a member of the Cathedral of Saint Joseph and a former member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He was a member of Marys Home Knights of Columbus Council 3267; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 2693; and Wyman Basinger VFW Post 35, St. Martins.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and farming his acreage.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Rhonda (Kirk) Bonnot, Jefferson City; two granddaughters, Erica Bonnot, Columbia, Mo.; and Tori Bonnot, Jefferson City; and eight sisters, Rita (Larry) Stahl, Kansas City, Kans.; Marlyn (Dick) Luetkemeyer, St. Charles, Mo.; Jane (Carmen) Dalba, St. Louis; Loretta (Bill) Kolb, Lubbock, Texas; Lorraine (Jack) Riley, Jefferson City; Evelyn Wieberg and her friend, Donnie Holtmeyer, Holts Summit, Mo.; Virginia Kirvan and her friend, Brian Gerard, Sunrise Beach, Mo.; and Freda (Mike) Schanzmeyer, Taos, Mo.; and one sister-in-law, Margie Wieberg, St. Anthony, Mo.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Nick Wieberg.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at the Cathedral of Saint Joseph with the Rev. Nicholas Reid officiating.
Burial with military honors will be in Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.
