John B. Benne, III, 60, of Holts Summit, died Monday, March 5, 2012, at Capital Region Medical Center.
He was born on January 3, 1952, in Jefferson City, the son of the late John Bernard Benne, Jr. and Virginia Marie Gnagi Benne.
John worked as a mechanic and as a carpenter.
He was a life member of the National Rifle Association. John loved to go hunting and shooting, go fishing, explore caves, and being in the outdoors. John rescued and cared for German Shepherd dogs.
Survivors include: three siblings, Jim (Connie) Benne, Holts Summit; Janet (Wayne) Block, Sussex, Wisc.; Jerry (Paula) Benne, Centertown; four step-siblings, Judy (Richard) Goldammer, Ballwin; Larry (Missy) Livengood, Galveston, TX.; Robert (Charline) Livengood, Albany, OR; Ross (Kim) Livengood, Chesterfield; many nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his step-mother, Alberta Livengood Benne.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
