JIMMIE DALE HICKS, SR.

Jimmie Dale Hicks, Sr., 55, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on Nov. 21, 1949 in Boonville, MO, the son of George B. and Lucille Marie Galliher Hicks. He was married in 1983 in Jefferson City to Nancy Ann Roland who survives in St. James, MO. Mr. Hicks was a laborer with Sparta Demolition Company. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Holts Summit, MO. Other survivors include four sons, Kevin J. Hicks and his wife, Christy, Linn, MO; Michael E. Schroer, and his wife, Che, Jefferson City; Richard D. Hicks, Jefferson City; and Jimmie D. Hicks, Jr., Jefferson City; eleven grandchildren; one brother, Ray B. Hicks, Ava, MO; and two sisters and their husbands, Cleo E. and Ollie Chambers, Lake Mykee, MO; and Velma L. and Leonard Steinman, II, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Loretta Faye Hicks; two nephews; and one great-nephew. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, 2005, at Faith Baptist Church, Holts Summit, with Pastor Steve L. Griggs officiating. Burial will be in Hart Hill Cemetery, Holts Summit. Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the church.
