Jesse Wesley Wheat, 84, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, June 7, 2007, at Golden Living Center. He was born on May 25, 1923, in Union, MO, the son of William and Della Saddler Wheat. Mr. Wheat was employed with Von Hoffman Press and Laborers Local 662. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Zelma Sue and Richard Belt, Jefferson City; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Ralph W. Wheat, Eldon, MO; Dennis W. Wheat, Holts Summit, MO; and Roger D. and Vickie Wheat, Holts Summit; one step-son and his wife, Herbert Alfred and Nancy Bossaller, Jefferson City; twelve grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and one step-great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Russell A. Wheat; one great-grandson; one step-great-granddaughter; and four brothers, Everett, Willard, Emmett, and Clarence Wheat. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2007, at Branson Cemetery near Linn, MO. Private family visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home.
