JAMES RICHARD WAINWRIGHT

James Richard Wainwright, 68, of Gravois Mills, MO, died Thursday, Aug. 3, 2006, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 24, 1938 in St. Louis, the son of Robert Elvie and Virginia Marie Smith Wainwright. He was married on June 10, 1961 in Richmond Heights, MO to Florence Ellen Butenhoff who survives in Richmond Heights. He later married Deborah Ann Moore who preceded him in death. He married Flora Agnes Smith on Feb. 16, 2000 who survives at the home. Mr. Wainwright was a 1956 graduate of Maplewood Richmond Heights High School. He retired in 1988 as Captain with the Richmond Heights Fire Department where he had been employed for twenty-nine years. He had previously been employed with Argo Pool Co.; Roadway Trucking Co.; St. Louis County Heating; Richard Smith Scrap Metal Works; and Butenhoffs A.G. Market. He was a member of Firefighters Local 2665, St. Louis. Other survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Marianne Virginia Wainwright, Richmond Heights, MO; and Christine Marie and Keith Daly Ellis, Sunrise Beach, MO; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Bobbie Wainwright Santangelo and her significant other, Tom Londoff, both of Bel-Nor, MO; JoAnn and Jim Ford, Richmond Heights, MO; and Sharon Wainwright-Dudley and Edward Bud Dudley, Dupo, IL; one brother and one sister-in-law, John and Paula Wainwright, Milstadt, IL; his step-mother, Billie Wainwright, Cahokia, IL; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
