Hilda Thresa Hoelscher

Hilda Thresa Hoelscher, 91, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at her daughters home in Russellville. She was born October 29, 1925, in Taos, Missouri, the daughter of the late Herman Henry and Anna Mary (Schafer) Verslues. She was united in marriage on September 22, 1943, in Taos, Missouri to Edwin Bernard Ed Hoelscher who preceded her in death on May 22, 1996. Hilda worked as a fancy stitcher for Tweedy Shoe Factory for over 25 years, and International Shoe Company for 5 years. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality. Hilda enjoyed sewing and quilting. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Vache, Russellville; one granddaughter, Tammy Branch; two great-grandchildren, Damon (Brianna) Branch, Misty (Zachary) Jewell; three great-great-grandchildren, Rylea Branch, Ryker Branch, Emmeri Jewell; and one great-great-grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a grandson, Brendan Vache; son-in-law, Larry Vache; and two half-sisters, Vanita Register and Eleanor Moeller. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 10, 2017, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with the Rev. Simeon Etonu officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Masses or to Hospice Compassus, 600 Monroe Street, Suite 100, Jefferson City, MO 65101.
