Henrietta Distler Davis

Henrietta "Pet" Distler Davis, 81, of Holts Summit, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at Summit Villa, Holts Summit, Missouri. She was born September 7 1934, in Vienna, Missouri the daughter of the late Frank and Etta Rose (Wagner) Stratman. She was united in marriage on June 20, 1953, in Jefferson City, Missouri to Louis William Distler who preceded her in death on February 6, 1971. In 1986, she married Philip James Davis in Tempe, Arizona. He died April 2005. She was a member of St. Andrews Catholic Church. Pet and Louie were Grade A dairy farmers from 1953 until Louie passed away in 1971. In recent years, she took great pride in her work as an in-home caregiver for members of the family and for friends. Pet loved to stay busy and especially enjoyed feeding people. She will be remembered for her pies, large flowerbeds, quilts, crocheted rugs, and other craft items. Survivors include four children, Steve (Nancy) Distler, Chandler, Arizona; Judy (Richard) Nowack, Holts Summit; Rick (Linda) Distler, Gilbert, Arizona; and Julie (Randy) Hentges, Holts Summit; five grandchildren, John Distler, Robert Distler, Brad Distler, Paul Distler, and Britney Hentges; two great-grandchildren, Connor Distler, and Mason Distler; a brother, Francis Stratman, Brazito; and a sister, Nora Thomas, Jackson, Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; an infant daughter, Mary Ann; a brother, Eugene Stratman; and three sisters, Reva Jones, Evelena Armer, and Mary Klein. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2016, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Boniface Nzabonimpa officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
