Helen Louise Jarrell, 90, of Jefferson City, passed away Friday, September 22, 2017, at Villa Marie Skilled Nursing Center.
She was born October 26, 1926, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the daughter of the late Lawrence Howard and Lena (Pirner) Landrum.
Helen was a 1945 graduate of St. Peter High School.
She was united in marriage on September 18, 1950, in Jefferson City, to William Anderson Jarrell who preceded her in death on February 12, 1975.
Helen was a loving and caring homemaker who enjoyed crocheting, gardening, canning, playing cards, and especially loved being with her grandchildren. She was a former member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Holts Summit and a current member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Jefferson City.
Survivors include three children, Linda (Stan) Borgmeyer, Columbia; James Jarrell, Jefferson City; Donna Howard, California; one daughter-in-law, Sharon Jarrell-Green, Holts Summit; 7 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Mike Jarrell and Larry Jarrell; and a sister, Ruth Distler.
Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2017, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, September 25, 2017, at the Cathedral of St. Joseph with the Rev. Joshua Duncan celebrating.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
