Harold Vincent Bungart, 89, of Jefferson City, died Friday, June 21, 2013, at St. Mary's Health Center. He was born on October 3, 1923, in Mary's Home, the son of the late Edward and Angeline (Sanning) Bungart. He was united in marriage on October 14, 1950, in Mary's Home to Lucille Elizabeth Lueckenhoff who preceded him in death on April 22, 2013. Harold owned and operated Harold Bungart Trucking Company, he farmed and raised registered Polled Hereford cattle most of his life in the Honey Creek area, and worked with his son at Bungart Auto Service. He was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Brazito/Hickory Hill Lions Club, Registered Polled Hereford Cattle Association, and the Knights of Columbus, Mary's Home Council 3267 for over fifty years. Survivors include: one son, Donald Bungart, Jefferson City; two grandchildren, Brandon Bungart, Jefferson City; Brittani Bungart, Indianapolis, Ind.; seven sisters, Adele (Lawrence) Lueckenhoff, Wardsville; Etta (Bernard) Schulte, Mary's Home; Eunice (John) Kauffman, Jefferson City; Carol (Vincent) Schaffer, St. Anthony; Elizabeth "Susie" (George) Schulte, Jefferson City; Angie Wieberg, Jefferson City; Barbara (Bennie) Bax, Mary's Home; and one sister-in-law, Betty Bungart, Jefferson City. He was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Bisges, and three brothers, Raymond, Clem, and Elroy Bungart. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Anthony Joseph Viviano officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery in Mary's Home. Visitation will be 4:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery Fund in Mary's Home or to a charity of the donor's choice.
