HILDA MARIE KOETTING

January 21, 1913 — December 30, 2005

Hilda Marie Koetting, 92, of Jefferson City, died Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born on Jan. 21, 1913 in Westphalia, the daughter of Henry and Mary Knuever Peitzmeyer. She was married on Sept. 22, 1936 in Westphalia to William Francis Koetting who died on Dec. 13, 1980. Mrs. Koetting was a housekeeper for many years at St. Marys Hospital, and later was employed with the American Red Cross and Special Learning Center. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she participated in the prayer group and assisted with funeral luncheons. Survivors include four daughters and two sons-in-law, Carol A. and Leonard Zarda, Shawnee Mission, KS; Mary R. Stegeman, Holts Summit; Rita M. Leigers, Jefferson City; and JoAnn E. and Stanley Rustemeyer, Jefferson City; three sons and one daughter-in-law, William F. Koetting, Kansas City, MO; Charles A. Koetting, Belton, MO; and Eugene J. and Darlene Koetting, Jefferson City; twenty-one grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; thirteen step-great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; five step-great-great-grandchildren; one sister and brother-in-law, Rosemary and Leonard Wieberg, Westphalia; and one sister-in-law, Agatha Peitzmeyer, Taos. She was preceded in death by one son, Donald H. Koetting; one daughter-in-law, Ann Koetting; one granddaughter, Christina Koetting; one step-grandson, Donald Rustemeyer; three sisters, Marie Peitzmeyer, Theckla Mertensmeyer, and Clara Stegeman; and two brothers, Henry Peitzmeyer and Anthony Peitzmeyer. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick G. Dolan officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2nd, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Masses; or American Lung Association, 1118 Hampton Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63139-3196.
