HENRIETTA TAUBE

March 21, 1925 — May 26, 2010

Henrietta Taube, 85, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at St. Marys Health Center.
She was born on March 21, 1925, in Taos, the daughter of the late Bruno Henry and Bernadine Prenger Eiken. She was united in marriage on January 3, 1943 in St. Charles, Mo. to Otto Henry Taube who preceded her in death. Henrietta was employed with Oberman and Tweety Shoe Company, was a cook for the Jefferson City Public Schools, co-owned and operated Otto Taube Welding and Machine Shop, and worked for the Jefferson City Recycling Center. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Anns Sodality, and the Eagles Auxiliary. Henrietta was a avid garage sale patron and gardener. She loved talking on the phone with her many cronies and was always up for a good bar-b-que and hot cup of coffee. Henrietta was ready to go at a moments notice for a long Sunday drive.
Survivors include: two daughters, Beverly (Bernie) Brondel; Lucille (Eugene) St. Clair, both of Jefferson City; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchildren; and four siblings, Josephine (Roman) Kampeter, Taos; Earlen (Paul) Distler, Lake Ozark; Louise (Lawrence) Lehman, Jefferson City; Louis (Barbara) Eiken, Taos. She was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn Wansing.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Monday, May 31, 2010, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick G. Dolan officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the charity of the donors choice.
