Gregory Clement Stockard, Jr.

Gregory Clement Stockard, Jr., 55, of Jefferson City, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2003, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born on September 21, 1948 in Jefferson City, the son of Gregory Clement Stockard, Sr., and Emma K. Strother Stockard. He is survived by his mother, Emma K. Stockard, Jefferson City; cousins; aunts; and many dear friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, 2003, at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jerrol L. Boehmer officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 2003, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, 3210 N. Ten Mile Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65109. He was a 1966 graduate of Jefferson City High School; attended Westminster College, Fulton; and received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree with honors from Lincoln University where he affiliated with MU Delta Honorary Fraternity. He was a computer programmer in the Information Systems Department of the Missouri State Highway Patrol where he had been employed since 1972. Mr. Stockard was a member of First United Methodist Church where he was a teacher in the Singles Sunday School Class; Jefferson City Chapter of Toastmasters International; Capital City Investment Club; Cole County Historical Society; and was a past president of Historic City of Jefferson where he worked with community and business leaders.
