Geraldine Marie Pringer

Geraldine Marie Pringer, 86, of Wardsville, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at University Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. She was born August 13, 1930, in Henley, Missouri, the daughter of the late August Henry and Margaret (Kempker) Doerhoff. She was united in marriage on September 13, 1948, in Marys Home, to Eugene Edward Pringer who survives at the home. Geraldine worked for Tweedie Shoe Factory, DeBroecks Grocery Store for over eight years, and Safeway Grocery Store for over 14 years. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Wardsville where she chaired the Funeral Luncheon committee, and was a member of the Ladies Sodality, Quilting Circle, and the Over 50 Club. She enjoyed quilting, dancing, gardening, playing cards, and most especially her family. Survivors include her husband, Eugene Pringer, Wardsville; ten children, Rose Mary (Fred) Mertens, Wardsville; Ronnie Pringer (special friend, Sandy Kleffner), Jefferson City; Gary (Jackie) Pringer, Centertown; Arnold (Debbie) Pringer, Wardsville; Dale (Mary) Pringer, Henley; Roger (Betty) Pringer, Centertown; Donna Hurley (special friend, Jeff McKee), Holts Summit; Sandra (Curt) Sherman, Vichy; Randy (Ellen) Pringer, Jefferson City; Anna Mae (Pete) Kleffner, Jefferson City; 53 grandchildren and spouses; 46 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Donnie (Jane) Kempker, St. Martins; and two sisters-in-law, Dorothy Doerhoff, Henley; and Betty Jo Doerhoff, Taos. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Susan Pringer; son-in-law, Doug Hurley; sister, Alma Boessen; and two brothers, Alfred Doerhoff and Norbert Doerhoff. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 4th, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 3 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 5th, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with the Rev. I.C. Medina and the Rev. Greg Oligschlaeger concelebrating. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donors choice.
