G. Roberta Skain

She was born in St. Louis to George Thomas and Della Balnche Myers Huston. She was married on June 17, 1950 to John Joseph Skain who survives at the home. She was employed with the Missouri Department of Welfare until 1951. Other survivors include two sons, John C. Skain, Germantown, Illinois and Michael J. Skain, Jefferson City and three grandsons. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church; St. Ann's Sodality; Immaculate Conception Church Circle; Guadalupe Circle; the Jefferson City Music Club; a life member and volunteer with St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary. Memorials are suggested to Helias High School; Immaculate Conception Church; or The Carmelite Monastery. She was a 1932 graduate of Jefferson City High School; attended Jefferson City Junior College; and received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from the University of Missouri where she was Savitar Queen during her senior year. She was also a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority.
