FREDERICK LAWRENCE RACKERS

Frederick Lawrence Rackers, 64, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, March 4, 2004, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on November 17, 1939 in Jefferson City, the son of Bernard John and Margaret Caroline Vetter Rackers. Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Robert J. and Mary Rackers, Jefferson City; his sister, Jane F. Rackers, Jefferson City; two nephews, Thomas J. Rackers, Jefferson City; and Gregory L. Rackers, Kansas City, MO; and one niece, Kathleen M. Fischer, Warrenton, MO. He was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Rackers. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at St. Joseph Cathedral. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 8, 2004 at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Cathedral of Saint Joseph, 2215 W. He was a 1957 graduate of Helias High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from Lincoln University. Mr. Rackers was employed with Speidel Photo Service in earlier years, and retired in 1995 as Capitol Projects Administrator, Engineer, for the Missouri Department of Corrections. He was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral where he was a charter member of the Choir; a member of United Sportsmens Club; and a charter member of the Jefferson City Cantorum.
