FRANCIS WILLIAM RUDROFF

Francis William Rudroff, 84, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, October 4, 2009, at his residence.
He was born on April 3, 1925, in Rich Fountain, the son of Martin and Margaret Grellner Rudroff. Francis was a United States Navy veteran serving during World War II. He was united in marriage on March 30, 1946, in Freeburg, to Martha A. Castrop who preceded him in death on March 12, 2009. Francis co-owned Whitener and Rudroff Distributing Company in Jefferson City. In his earlier years, Francis worked for Mueller Distributing Company in Rolla. After retirement, Francis worked for Westinghouse. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, VFW Post 1003, American Legion Post 5, Eagles Aerie 2693 in Jefferson City and also in Rolla where he was past president, and was a volunteer with the Samaritan Center.
Survivors include: two daughters, Margaret Oppliger and her companion Stuart Camblin, San Diego, Ca.; Mary Jo and husband Brad Thomson, Oklahoma City, OK.; one sister, Ann Castrop, Jefferson City; and four brothers and sisters-in-law, Martin and Agnes Rudroff, Fairhope, Al.; Lawrence and Gladys Rudroff, Linus and Mildred Rudroff, and Norbert and Carol Rudroff, all of Rich Fountain. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 9, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick G. Dolan officiating. Entombment with military honors will be in Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum.
