FLORENCE M. HAKE

Florence M. Hake, 93, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, May 17, 2008, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born on February 7, 1915, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Leo and Kate Brondel Distler. She was a graduate of St. Peter High School. She was united in marriage at St. Peter Catholic Church on June 3, 1950 to Anton L. Hake who preceded her in death on October 24, 1954. Florence was employed with the State of Missouri as a secretary until she retired on January 1, 1979. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Anns Sodality, Immaculata Club, Association of Retired Missouri State Employees, St. Marys Health Center Auxiliary, and several card clubs. Florence enjoyed traveling and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. Florence loved and cherished her family including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never missed a birthday or family gathering. Other survivors include: one step-son and wife, Francis and Janice Hake, Jefferson City; four step-grandchildren and spouses, Darrell and Christi Hake; Brad and Christy Hake; Shelley and Mark Kleene; Lesley and Jamie Smith; and eight step-great-grandchildren, Brie Vuagniaux; Ryan Hake; Christian Hake; Whitney Hake; Abby Hake; Victoria Kleene; Allie Kleene; and Jacob Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and an infant daughter who died at birth on October 12, 1951. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Rev. Patrick G. Dolan officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Helias High School Foundation, P.O. Box 694, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0694.
