Eric Jon Schlotz, 56, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014, at St. Mary's Health Center surrounded by his family. He was born September 11, 1957, in Wichita, KS, the son of the late Donald Dean and Wanda Leona (Wright) Schlotz. Eric was united in marriage on April 20, 1985, in Loose Creek, MO to Lisa Ann Luebbert who survives at the home. Eric worked locally as a Project Manager for University Healthcare and IBM, and nationwide as a consultant for various health care systems. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed lectoring at Mass as well as serving on Parish Council and various church committees. Eric enjoyed many hobbies and passions in his life. As an avid sports fan, he faithfully followed Cardinal baseball and Mizzou sports. He enjoyed Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble, playing cards, and racquetball. He spent many hours working on the family farm, campaigning for the Republican Party, and preparing his dog for the dachshund races during Oktoberfest. He loved holiday traditions, including the annual hunt for a massive Christmas tree, Thanksgiving butchering, firework wars, and Easter wiffle ball. He was a talented artist and photography enthusiast. In addition to his wife, Lisa, of 29 years, he is survived by his son, Nathan (Kacey) Schlotz, St. Louis; his three daughters, Morgan (Will) Bartels, Mission, KS; MacKenzie (Danny) Feldmann, Jefferson City; Lauren Schlotz, Jefferson City; one granddaughter, Annabelle Schlotz; two brothers, Scott (Diane) Schlotz, Dardenne Prairie, MO; Troy (Sue) Schlotz, Wardsville, MO; one brother-in-law, Mike (Bobbi) Luebbert, Loose Creek, MO; and 10 nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with the Msgr. David D. Cox and Fr. Hillary Andebo officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Mausoleum. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 4 p.m. The Schlotz family would like to express their appreciation for your thoughts and prayers.
