Eleanor Henrietta Moeller

Eleanor Henrietta Moeller, 97, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015, at Golden Living Center. She was born April 24, 1918, in Loose Creek, Missouri, the daughter of the late Gerhard and Anna (Schaefer) Toebben. She was united in marriage on June 2, 1937, in Taos, Missouri, to Bernard August Moeller who preceded her in death on January 9, 1999. In her earlier years, Eleanor worked for St. Mary's Hospital. She then spent most of her life caring for her family as a homemaker. She also watched over many children as a babysitter. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. Eleanor enjoyed shopping, playing bingo, attending parish picnics, praying the rosary, and spending time with her family. Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Veit, Folk; Dolores (Ambrose) Bungart, Jefferson City; one sister, Hilda Hoelscher, Russellville; nine grandchildren, Ronald (Theresa) Veit; Larry (Shirley) Veit; Shirley Veit; Jim (Debbie) Veit; Kathy (Travis) Zumwalt; Peggy (Danny) Jensen; Vicki (Jim) Clad; Donna (Brian) Smith; Mike (Renee) Bungart; 17 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerhard Toebben; her mother and step-father, Anna and Herman Verslues; her husband, Bernard Moeller; an infant brother, Albert Toebben; a sister, Venita Register; and a son-in-law, Clem Veit. Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2015, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. John J. Schmitz officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
