Edward George Boes

Edward George Boes, 70, of Westphalia, passed away Friday, February 9, 2018, at SSM Health St. Marys Hospital. He was born February 22, 1947, in Jefferson City, the son of the late Nelson Henry and Opal Lee (Pemberton) Boes. He served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1968-1969. He was united in marriage on June 9, 1978, in Jefferson City, to Doris Ann Rothove who survives. Edward worked for Chesebrough Ponds driving tractor trailers and forklifts. He retired in 2002. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the American Legion in Westphalia. He loved driving his dump truck, cutting wood, and being in the outdoors. Survivors include his wife, Doris Boes, Westphalia; one daughter, Sheila Boes, Jefferson City; three grandchildren, Megan Boes, Jefferson City; Allison Boes (who has lived with Edward and Doris for 18 years and was the pride and joy of Eddies life); Katie Boes, Jefferson City; four siblings, Joan (Vernon) Mullikin, Los Osos, CA; Judy (Bill) Landwehr, Winston Salem, NC; Deborah (Mark) Kaiser, Midland, Mich.; Laura (Dave) Suey, OK; and his mother-in-law, Mary Ann Rothove, Westphalia. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his father-in-law, Herman Rothove. Visitation will be 4:30-7 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Westphalia with a prayer service at 4 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with the Rev. Anthony J. Viviano officiating. Burial with military honors will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Fatima High School Special Education Department, or to St. Joseph Catholic School in Westphalia. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Westphalia is in charge of the arrangements.
