EVELYN REGINA ANTWEILER

Evelyn Regina Antweiler, 86, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, September 28, 2008, at St. Joseph Home. She was born on September 10, 1922, in Jefferson City, the daughter of Otto and Hilda Hackman Knernschield, who preceded her in death. She was united in marriage on January 2, 1946, in Jefferson City to Joseph Otto Antweiler, who survives at the home. Evelyn was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, St. Peter Ladies Sodality, St. Peter prayer line, and she volunteered with St. Peter Catholic School. Her greatest passions were her faith and family. She was a devoted wife and loving mother. Prior to her marriage she worked for St. Marys Hospital. Other survivors include: four sons and three daughters-in-law, Rev. Donald J. Antweiler, Monroe City; Robert P. and Mari-Anne Antweiler, Jefferson City; Thomas L. and Meryl Antweiler, Jefferson City; Richard D. and Karen Antweiler, Lohman; three grandchildren, Joshua Antweiler; Cassandra Antweiler; Jessica Antweiler; one step-granddaughter, Elizabeth Straatmann; one step great-grandson, Joel Straatmann; three sisters, Mildred Kiesling; Lavern Grothoff; Rosemary Grothoff; and one brother, Francis Knernschield. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 1, 2008, at St. Peter Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank A Bussmann, celebrating and the Rev. Donald J. Antweiler, concelebrating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8p.m. Tuesday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church, 216 Broadway St., Jefferson City, MO 65101.
