EVELYN CHRISTINA STIEFERMANN SCHWARTZE

July 30, 1915 — August 29, 2010

Mrs. Evelyn Christina Stiefermann Schwartze, age 95, of Westphalia, Mo., died peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 29, 2010.
She was born July 30, 1915, the daughter of the late Henry and Josephine Lock Stiefermann. She attended school at Immaculate Conception School in Loose Creek, Mo. She was united in marriage to Joseph H. Schwartze on October 21, 1947, in Loose Creek. He preceded her in death on February 15, 2002. She worked at International Shoe Factory, Maries Valley Hatchery, and the Post Offices in Westphalia and Jefferson City. Evelyn was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Westphalia; Town & Country Club; St. Anns Sodality; Westphalia Historical Society; and the Westphalia Quilting Club.
Evelyn is survived by one sister-in-law, Mary Stiefermann, of Jefferson City; one brother-in-law, Emil Schwartz, Westphalia; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews from the Schwartze, Stiefermann, and Stephens families. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Lavonia Stephens, Alice Stiefermann, and Eleanor Stiefermann; and two brothers, Clarence Stiefermann and William Stiefermann.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, Mo, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia on Thursday, September 2, 2010, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Msgr. Robert A. Kurwicki officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Westphalia. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, 915 County Ridge Drive, Jefferson City, Mo 65109. Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, Westphalia, is in charge of the arrangements.
