EVA JUNE STROTHER

Eva June Strother, 76, of Meta, MO, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born on June 11, 1930, in Carnegie, OK, the daughter of Austin and Kathleen Evans Self. She was married on July 4, 1953, in Altus, OK, to Bartie M. Shorty Strother who died on Feb. 22, 2004. Mrs. Strother was employed as a Home Health Care Provider for Jackson County Home Health Care in Oklahoma. She was a member of Family Worship, Altus, OK; Powerhouse in Miller County, MO; and loved fishing. Survivors include one son, Floyd L. Jones, Meta, MO; one half-sister and her husband, Linda J. and Richard Stump, Meta, MO; two half-brothers and their wives, Robert and Charlene Self, and Arthur and Myrna Self, both of Cement, OK; one half-sister-in-law, Pat Self, Cement, OK; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one half-brother, Tommy Self. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2007, at Southside Cemetery in Meta with Pastor Rick Hargrove officiating.
