ETHEL MARGARET EYNARD

March 1, 1917 — July 22, 2004

Ethel Margaret Eynard, 87, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at Villa Marie Skilled Care. She was born on March 1, 1917, in Ness City, Kansas, the daughter of William Robert and Tillie Emilie Zuehlke Cranston. She was marred on February 27, 1943, in Hutchinson, Kansas, to Jerome Alfred Eynard who died on April 2, 2004. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Sylvia Eynard, Norfolk, Nebraska; three grandchildren, Stephanie Manley, Kingwood, Texas; Tara Eynard, Omaha, Nebraska; and Amy OConnor, Ottawa, Canada; one great-granddaughter, Cailynn OConnor, Ottawa, Canada; and two brothers, Ralph Cranston, Ness City, Kansas; and Dudley Cranston, Hutchinson, Kansas. She was preceded in death by a son, David William Eynard, on July 3, 2004; and her sister, Irene Cranston. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2004, at St. Joseph Cathedral. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2004, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, POB 1653, Topeka, KS 66601-1653. Mrs. Eynard was employed as a supervisor with Western Light and Telephone Company, Ness City, Kansas, for three years; as a bookkeeper with Watsons Clothing Store, Hutchinson, Kansas, for five years; and retired in 1979 as a service representative with United Telephone Company, Jefferson City, where she had served for more than twenty-five years. She was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral and enjoyed needlepoint, crossword puzzles, crafts, and playing cards.
