EMANUEL STANLEY EVANS

August 15, 1915 — December 10, 2006

Emanuel Stanley Evans, 91, Jefferson City, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2006, at St. Marys Health Center. He was born on Aug. 15, 1915 in North Platte, Nebraska, the son of Charles and Emily McNeel Evans. He was married on Jan. 18, 1940, in Kearney, Nebraska, to Berniece Evelyn Evans who died on Aug. 16, 2004. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. In earlier years Mr. Evans worked as a heavy equipment operator in Alaska and later a rancher in Nebraska. He then moved to Boulder, CO where he was employed for twenty-one years with Boulder County road maintenance retiring in 1984. He loved all sports, fishing, playing cards and was still an avid bowler, playing on the Wednesday Night Bowling League up until his death. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Ronald and Barbara Evans, Jefferson City and Larry Evans and Jodell Larimore, Fort Collins, CO; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Joe Evans, Charles Evans, and Kenneth Evans. Private family services will be held at a later date.
