ELIZABETH MARGARET RACKERS

Elizabeth Margaret Rackers, 85, of Jefferson City, died Saturday, September 17, 2005, at Villa Marie Skilled Care. She was born on May 9, 1920 in Sedalia, MO, the daughter of Joseph C. and Margaret Schranker Botz. She was married on Nov. 30, 1946 in Jefferson City to Clifford Frank Rackers who survives at the home. She attended Immaculate Conception Catholic School and St. Elizabeth Academy in St. Louis. A homemaker, Mrs. Rackers was employed in earlier years with the Missouri Department of Health and Oberman Manufacturing Co. She was a fifty-year member of St. Peter Catholic Church and became a member of St. Joseph Cathedral in recent years after becoming wheelchair-bound. She was active as a room mother and organizer when her children were in school. She enjoyed embroidery and making beautiful items with plastic canvass. Other survivors include one son, Stephen R. Rackers, Jefferson City; two daughters and their husbands, Nancy M. and Charles Larm, Boonville, MO; and Mary A. and John Oetting, OFallon, MO; one grandson, Jason Oetting, OFallon, MO; two brothers and their wives, Joseph C., II and Bette Botz, Kirkwood, MO; and Fred O. and Delores Botz, Sacramento, CA; and one sister, Eleanor Verhoff, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by one sister, Marietta Frounfelker. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2005, at St. Joseph Cathedral with the Rev. Donald W. Lammers officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with a prayer service at 8 p.m. Memorials are suggested to Vogelweid Learning Center, 314 W. High Street, Jefferson City, MO 65101; St. Joseph Cathedral School, 2303 W. Main Street, Jefferson City, MO 65109; or Masses.
