ELIZABETH ANNE SCHMIDT

Elizabeth Anne Schmidt, 79, of Jefferson City, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born on Oct. 17, 1928, in Rochelle, Ill., the daughter of Harry and Marie Coy Rea. She was married on Nov. 23, 1976, in Rockford, Ill., to James W. Schmidt who died on March 25, 1999. A homemaker, Mrs. Schmidt was a member of First Baptist Church, and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. She enjoyed square dancing, cooking, and reading. Other survivors include one step-daughter, Charlotte Duncan; and one step-son, James Schmidt, Jr.; and friend and caregiver, Charles Van Loo, Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son. Funeral services will be 12 Noon Friday, June 20, 2008, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home with the Rev. Doyle M. Sager officiating. Entombment will be in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 11 a.m.-12 Noon at the funeral home.
